Don’t sit in the left lane
While I applaud the Pennsylvania State Police for stating they are going to enforce the Steer Clear Law requiring motorists to get out of the way of any emergency vehicles approaching them from behind, I feel this is long overdue. However, why does this law only apply to emergency vehicles? Does it address those who refuse to yield to faster traffic? We are not speaking about posted speeds – we are speaking about the realistic flow of traffic. Are these motorists somehow sanctified with the right to sit in the left lane, impeding the normal flow of traffic, and forcing some to pass on the right?
