Blame the politicians
I read some time ago in the Observer-Reporter that Rich Russo, a former councilman in Canonsburg, said nobody goes to small towns anymore. I find this untrue. People go out west, to New England, Europe and other places to old towns.
Canonsburg Borough Council decided to raise the parking costs downtown, and the dollar store that had been in Canonsburg moved to Houston because of this. Seven tax-paying businesses were pushed out for the library. Toy’s My Way Cafe was pushed out for a nonexistent museum.
Don’t blame the town – blame the politicians.
