Limit aid to birth control
I have revised my thinking that granting immigrants access to our nation and Western Pennsylvania is wrong for two major reasons.
First, jobs in our area have declined over the past 30 years. The second reason was provided by a poor man in a poor country.
My wife and I have traveled extensively, primarily by cruise ship, since our retirement. While entering a port, she wanted to know if I wanted to take another tour. I said no, because I had seen enough poverty, shacks and trash.
Subsequently, the tour operator provided great commentary and a very clean vehicle. While returning to the ship, the tour operator proclaimed that our foreign aid program was all wrong. With an increase in worldwide population being forecast, the demand for foreign aid will increase.
He thought the United States should limit aid to providing methods of birth control to impoverished nations, and it would result in a reduced population and enable each nation to become self-supporting.
What a concept!
