President Trump declared over the weekend that Doug Jones, the Democratic Senate candidate in Alabama, was “weak” on crime.

This statement raises several important questions, given that Jones successfully prosecuted two Ku Klux Klan members for the heinous Birmingham, Ala., church bombing in 1963 that killed four young black girls.

Is Trump unaware that these crimes were ever committed? Or that it was Jones who brought these disgusting murderers to justice? Or,. worst of all, if he is aware, does he not even care about this very real American tragedy?

Clearly, in Trump’s world, truth matters little. If this continued display of arrogance and ignorance is part of “making America great again,” please leave me out.
