LETTER Animal rescuers deserve praise

I am writing in response to the story on the front page of the Observer-Reporter recently on the rescue of Ava, the white-haired German Shepherd, and other dogs.

Praise should go to the rehabilitators training Ava to be rehomed, but special praise should go to the caring neighbor who took action and got the animals out of an abusive setting.
