Sixty percent of Washington County voters voted for Donald Trump, and 35 percent for Clinton. Sixty-eight percent of Greene County voters voted for Trump, while 28 percent voted for Clinton.

As a Washington County resident and a Democrat, I’m growing angry and disillusioned with the continued vengeful attacks on Donald Trump on the Observer-Reporter editorial page, as if the world will end when he becomes president.

Let’s come together and pray for this man as he leads our country. I stand to honor the choice of the overwhelming majority of voters in Washington and Greene counties, the same people you continue to insult with your attacks on the next president.

I, for one, will not be renewing my subscription to the Observer-Reporter.
