We need a vote-by-mail program

I totally agree with Kent James on the benefits of universal voting by mail, which he outlined in a June 18 column.
It makes voting easier for all and easily verifiable. I have always had problems with voting machines that don’t give a printed copy of how you voted.
I am a retired accountant and firmly believe in the use of proper controls to protect both money and votes. It would also solve the problem of trying to get employees to work the polls, which is becoming more difficult.
Pennsylvania needs to adopt a voting-by-mail program to ensure all votes are counted correctly and not changed by someone hacking the machines.
