LETTER Christiana speaks to solutions
We are constantly being reminded about the “swamp” in Washington, D.C. We are inundated with a 24-hour news cycle that bears testimony to our ineffective federal legislative bodies. Legislative bodies whose members we must remember are servants of the people. Legislative bodies who have difficulty accomplishing the most basic of their functions, like budgets.
There is an audible tone across the country and across the commonwealth that is frustrated with the amount of partisan bickering and constant polarity between the two parties. A frustration that has grown to a point in which we forget that we are the ones who are capable of fixing this problem.
To do my part in being a solution, I plan on voting for Jim Christiana for U.S. Senate. If you haven’t already, I would encourage you to follow him on social media. Listen to him speak on the issues, and more importantly, listen to him speak about the solutions. We have the opportunity to send a legislator to the Senate who provides a sense of urgency and has a track record of getting things done. We have a chance to send a legislator to Washington who not only talks about transparency but leads by example.
Don’t take my word for it. I encourage you to do your due diligence, and I am sure you will come to the same conclusions.
