Glad the election is over
I’m glad the special election is over. After months of badgering by both parties, junk mail stuffed in my mailbox and smear-tactic commercials cluttering my television, I’d reached the point where it didn’t matter who won. The money spent by both parties could have cured poverty in the 18th Congressional District or could have been donated to worthy charities instead of being wasted on an election that should have not taken place in the first place. Congressman Tim Murphy was forced out by liberal worries of indiscretions in his personal life that had nothing to do with the job he was doing. The winner of this wasteful election will be lucky to fill his shoes in Washington. If everyone were scrutinized by their personal life, very few would be working.
