I watched the president at his rally in Mississippi expecting the same old stuff about how great he is. Instead, he decided to mock Christine Blasey Ford, whom he previously said was credible. I had already thought President Trump had sunk to a low in his rhetoric, but this was unnecessary, indefensible and disgusting. No woman who has experienced sexual aggression or assault deserves to be mocked in public, particularly by the leader of the free world.

Sadder still were the women behind him cheering his mocking. That I can’t understand. I would like nothing more than to have them explain why they believe sexual assault is funny. I do feel sorry for them and their children to whom I hope that never happens. The president is an embarrassment to our country and the world.
