LETTER: Op-ed full of ‘horse droppings’

I must say that I haven’t seen such a collection of horse droppings like I saw in Dave Ball’s op-ed (Jan. 27). To say that President Trump has done virtually anything besides dividing us politically and playing golf is laughable. The economy is still on the uptick only from the yeoman work of his predecessor. In fact, Trump added 800,000 to the unemployment roles with his “wall or nothing” stunt, which is exactly what he got, in addition to the tax cut for the wealthy added to the debt and deficit, which will keep us indebted to the Chinese for years to come.

The reason for the Democratic wins in the midterms is the realization that though Hillary Clinton was no shining light on the hill, Trump wasn’t either. Slashing environmental regulations proved only to add to the pockets of his rich friends and add to the declining health of those that can’t avoid the outcomes. Nancy Pelosi did have a shaky start but her stock has soared by having Trump cave with the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter kicking him while down. The free market has resulted in paying farmers for soybeans to rot using money borrowed from China who were going to buy the soybeans if there was no interference from the U.S.

I would like you to imagine the amount of money companies could save if the single-payer health care system were in place. You are correct, Mr. Ball, that voters want results that make their lives better … and the midterms proved it.
