LETTER: Mt. Wheeler highest point in Washington County
I read the July 7 article on Quicksilver’s storm damage with interest. However, I wish to set the facts straight on the highest point in Washington County. It is not on or near Quicksilver. It is actually Mt. Wheeler, which is south of the city of Washington and can be reached by going out South Main Street and turning right onto Courson Hill Road at the Glen-Meadow Mobile Home Park. It is the hill above there with all the cellphone towers. I believe they placed the towers there because of the elevation.
