LETTER: No need for chief of staff

Kudos to Judy Kramer for her Jan. 9 letter about the hiring of a chief of staff for Washington County. I agree with her: Who is the new tax and spend party now?

How about priorities, like her road with the bridge that’s been closed for five years? Some of that $95,000 salary could be used to pay for security at the main door of our beautiful courthouse. It breaks my heart. We should be able to go through the main doors as always. Surely funds could be found for this.
