Better save that stimulus check and that additional unemployment money. State and local governments as well as school districts are all required to have a balanced budget. All of them are now losing revenue for this fiscal year which must, by law, be made up. So expect all local taxes to be increased nearly as much as you just received in “free” money. As you have been told many times, there is no such thing as a free lunch.
