LETTER: Appalled by comment

I was appalled by the pronouncement from Dave Ball, chairman of the Washington County Republican Party, stating that Sen. Pat Toomey was “not elected to do the right thing” or to “vote his conscience.” That is exactly why I voted for him. His statement has to have been an embarrassment for Washington County.
