Recently, this newspaper reported on two automobile accidents which resulted in three deaths. At least two of the fatalities involved individuals who were not wearing seat belts. Would the use of restraining devices have helped prevent this mortality and morbidity? Quite possibly.

Besides being foolish, it may be argued that the nonuse of seat belts is selfish. These folks are not concerned with the loved ones and friends that they leave behind.

People, use your seat belts.
