Is power the greatest concern?
Democrats seem so concerned about President Biden’s chances to win re-election but not about him serving another six months and not being able to take decisive action in a national security emergency. Yes, his defeat could cause down-ballot candidates to lose, but surely our national security is most important. Is remaining in power the greatest concern?
Many ideas have been floated, including a mini-primary to choose someone to head the party’s presidential ticket. It sounds as though the party elite will make that decision, not registered Democratic voters. Is this how the party proposes to save democracy? That doesn’t really sound democratic.
I am troubled that for more than three years, Vice President Kamala Harris, Biden’s wife Jill, other party officials and the mainstream media have provided cover for a failing president. That isn’t only treasonous, but also elder abuse. That isn’t what Democrats promised as “the most transparent White House ever.”
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says there’s a team to respond to crisis calls overnight when the President is sleeping. In 2020, did Democrats, independents and Republicans vote for a president or a team?
Many Americans have had the heartbreaking task of taking the car keys away from an aging parent whose mental and physical abilities have declined. They did it because they didn’t want to be responsible for an accident that could claim someone’s life. They haven’t wanted their own children in a car driven by a grandparent. Shouldn’t we be as concerned about national security for our children and grandchildren?
