Yes to term limits, no to felons
After listening to so many complaints about the age issue, pardons, bribes, and federal elections, let’s put an age limit on both the White House and both houses of Congress. No more than two terms in the Senate, and no more than four in Congress.
Lets get rid of the pardons – that is, no pardons for anyone involved in an act against the government, from Congress to the White house. No more Secret Service protection if you are convicted of any felony. You lose that privilege just as some Americans lose their right to vote if convicted of a felony.
There should be no running for federal elections if convicted of a crime. We the people should be expecting more and getting it from our elected officials.
And no more bribes.
Lastly, it should be mandatory that local television stations put aside time for candidates to express their views and schedule it at a time when it can be seen, not in the middle of the night.
