Trump has no respect for laws, Constitution
Dave Ball is correct when he states in his Monday column, “When respect for the Constitution, obedience to laws and fair application by the legal system breaks down, a nation descends into the abyss.” He is wrong when he opines that the reason is the felony convictions of Donald Trump.
One must only look to Trump’s own words on Dec. 3, 2022, as he continued to claim fraud resulted in Joe Biden’s election victory. Trump said, “A massive fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.”
It seems abundantly clear that what would lead the United States “into the abyss” is the return to office of Trump. He has no respect for the Constitution or laws, or anything else for that matter. He said so himself.
