Voting is the only way to change things
This upcoming primary will be my 99th election casting my vote. I have voted in every primary and general election from the age of 18. It was taught that if you didn’t vote, you lost your right to complain. Voting is the only way to change things we either agree or disagree with.
In school, we were taught what each party stood for, and you could make a choice as to which party to back. Over the years, each party has gone so far right or left that neither party is a good choice. It is now important to vote for the person and not the party. It is also important to remember that elected officials at all levels work for you, and you do not work for them.
From 1980 until this year, we are still talking about the border. From Reagan to Biden, no administration has been able to control immigration. Finally, when there is bipartisan support to handle this mess, a citizen comes along and says no to the compromise. After all, this citizen is running for president and wants to use the mess at the border as a talking point. He can’t use the economy, jobs or stock market because they are doing great.
