LETTER: What happened to old-school values?
As a kid growing up, the values I had were instilled by two parents who taught me that if you did something wrong, you had to deal with the consequences.
What happened to these values today?
We’ve seen President-elect Donald Trump accused of various crimes, but now it seems everyone is running scared. Recently, New York prosecutors opposed any effort to dismiss Trump’s hush-money conviction, but they are open to delaying sentencing till after he finishes his term in 2029. Does everyone get this same opportunity?
Everyone should be accountable for things they have done wrong. So, I guess the next time you get in trouble, just say you’re running for president.
