LETTER: “Moving forward” with Trump is hypocrisy

1 min read

I’ve never submitted a letter before, but felt compelled to respond to a recent letter concerning moving forward with President-elect Trump.

After reading it, I wondered about the writer’s suggestions of thinking more about the good of our country than being critical of the people voted into office, or respecting the office of the president, or working together for the common good. The same writer’s previous letters bashed President Biden and his administration.

After years of “Let’s go Brandon,” “Not my president,” numerous tasteless, obscene jokes and memes, the lies, the name calling, the insurrection, now Trump’s supporters want to bring up respect, the good of our country and working together? That could have been written after the 2020 election, but as we all know everything went a whole different direction.

I will move forward, just not with the proven lifelong liar, cheat, fraud, adulterer, insurrectionist and convicted felon in the White House.
