Unborn children deserve protection

2 min read

Words matter. The media refers to someone who is in this country illegally as an “undocumented immigrant.” I fully expect that the Observer-Reporter, which leans so far to the left that I read the paper lying on my side, will one day report a bank robber as making an “undocumented withdrawal.”

The same applies to abortion. The “soft” term is “women’s reproductive rights.” Whatever you call it, at the end of the day the results are the same: a baby’s life has ended. A child who will never take its first step, say its first words, attend first grade or play first base. A child who will never see a sunset, a rainbow, or the ocean. Everything that we ourselves enjoy.

Of the over 1 million abortions performed last year in America, approximately 2,800 per day, how many were due to the risk of life to the mother or of an assault? I would suspect that it is a small percentage.

President Biden once quoted Jesus Christ, albeit in a different context, when he said: “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me “. I challenge you to find someone who fits the category of “least of these” better than the unborn child.
