The lies have to stop
It is just not right for political candidates to decimate whole towns for political purposes.
Springfield, Ohio, has had to close schools and put up with bomb threats because candidates J.D. Vance and Donald Trump and their allies have been spreading lies about the Haitians who live and work there. The Ohio governor has had to call in extra protection for the folks who fill important civic functions, such as running elections and serving on council boards as well as everyone who lives there.
Threatening email messages and phone calls are frightening all the citizens of Springfield. Now these candidates and their allies are going after our own Charleroi because of the Haitians who live and work there, even though town officials have said these immigrants are providing desperately needed labor for critical industries.
These lies have got to stop.
