Trump and Vance are flip-floppers
After listening to the barrage of complaints about Kamala Harris flip-flopping on various issues, I feel compelled to write a reminder to Republicans.
Donald Trump originally endorsed Hillary Clinton for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. Trump called her “very talented” and “terrific” and said “she’d make a good president.”
The flip-floppng isn’t limited to Trump. His own vice-presidential nominee, J.D. Vance, is more like a tennis ball than a credible politician. “I’m a ‘Never Trump’ guy,” Vance said eight years ago, adding “I never liked him.” Vance tweeted about Trump, “My God, what an idiot.” He wrote, “Mr. Trump is unfit for our nation’s highest office,” and added, “I can’t stomach Trump.”
Trump has said several times that Joe Biden has been the worst president in history. But this past February, 154 historians who are members of the American Political Science Association ranked all the presidents, and Biden was ranked 14th out of 46. Trump was dead last.
