LETTER: Applause all around
Kudos to reporter Mike Jones and the Observer-Reporter for their Washington County Real Estate Expo coverage.
I am a big fan of HGTV’s “Love It or List It” and was disappointed that I was not one of the lucky business owners to be invited to “meet and greet” the “good Hilary,” show host Hilary Farr. I can see no better use in Washington County for the Biden Administration’s American Rescue Plan’s blight mitigation fund than to pay $30,000 for Farr to fly here from Hollywood.
My chest swelled with pride when I read that she talked for a half-hour with our own beloved Washington County Commissioners Nick Sherman and Electra Janis.
I must admit that, although these commissioners rightly flew our real estate star here first class, and paid for a Pittsburgh hotel and limousine, I was embarrassed that there was no mention of a massage. I hope Farr will not look down her nose at Washington County because of that oversight.
As far as Biden’s blight mitigation goes, I am getting used to the dilapidated buildings all over the county, especially the ones with the TRUMP 2020 signs still in front of them. I think they are charming.
