LETTER: Right age for sex
In the Aug. 7 edition, a 14-teen-year old youth asked columnist Mary Jo Podgurski “When is the right age for sex?” I would like to answer that question. The right age for sex is the age you are when you get married.
The Bible clearly teaches that any sex outside of marriage is a sin against God. What has happened to our society that the laws of God are not even considered? Do the parents even know the difference between right and wrong, or do they even care? Even many professing Christians are guilty of this sin. Don’t they realize that it will not be worth it when they stand before God and give an account of their lives?
Not only is sex outside of marriage a sin, but it can result in unwanted pregnancies, which can lead to the sin of abortion, and can also result in child abuse.
