LETTER: Contrast between Trump and Carter is clear
We are about to embark on the second term of Donald Trump while saying farewell to Jimmy Carter.
For many years, the words and deeds of these two men have provided insight into the content of their character. We have learned much about how they value truth, honesty and integrity, taking responsibility for actions, respecting others, being fair and just and promoting love and compassion.
The contrast could not be more clear.
The character of our leaders is not a partisan issue, but, especially for the president, should be a greater reflection of our collective character.
Hopefully, Trump will reflect on the life of Carter and work to sustain a habitat for all humanity.
