LETTER: A straightforward response to terrorism

2 min read

We have had to endure yet another terrorist attack on innocent civilians. All of us are getting really tired of this, and here is a solution to the problem.

I am sure our intelligence and military organizations have information about where these various terror groups are congregated and where they are doing their training. If they do not, then they are not doing their jobs well enough.

We need somebody in charge with the courage to say the following: “Terror attacks will no longer be tolerated. Period. We know where your training camps are located and where your followers are congregated. In the future, as soon as the perpetrators of these acts are identified, we will proceed to obliterate one of these camps or concentrations and everybody in it. We are sorry for those who live in these countries and might be harmed, but to prevent our retaliation, get the terrorists out. Now. We will be happy to live in peace if you allow us to do that, but enough is enough.”

This seems a simple and straightforward approach which might slow them down a bit. All we need is a leader with the guts to do it. Once might be enough.
