LETTER: Let’s stop the hate talk

2 min read

A few weeks ago we celebrated Easter, and in the readings, the crowd screamed, “Crucify him, crucify him!” It seems many in our country today want the same end result for our president without using the same vernacular.

The Democrats, MSNBC, CNN, and TV talk show “The View” spew a daily barrage of hatred toward Donald Trump. Every Associated Press article is biased, and even the letters to this newspaper pour out one lengthy discourse after another about all of his evil ways.

But not one of these critical letters will ever find anything positive to say about this man. If he wants to keep our streets safe, if he wants to make our food healthier and safer, if he wants to bring Americans back from foreign prisons, if he wants to prevent boys from dominating girls in sports, if he wants to prevent another woman to fall victim to a criminal like what occurred happened to college student Laken Riley, they will not compliment him. You have to question their character. They apparently want him to fail, even at the expense of the country.

Factor in Robert De Niro’s rants, N.Y. Congressman Daniel Goldman saying he must be eliminated, and James Comey’s desire to “86” him, it leaves one to suspect a tragedy is in the making. And if tragedy does occur, the media will say that they didn’t want that to happen, absolutely not – yes, we despise him, but we didn’t want that to occur.

Perhaps even now, the locals will show some integrity and let us know it’s not their intention to wish for his demise, and that they surely hope all their negative letters will not lead to that end. Or maybe they won’t.
