LETTER: In full attack mode
Editor’s note: Updated Nov. 6, 2025, to reflect correct first name of letter writer.
A bull(y) is loose. No, not in the China shop, but all over our country.
A few of the more recent attacks, in no particular order, include the use of federal troops in Democrat-run cities; the use of the U.S. armed forces in international waters assassinating alleged criminals without due process; welcoming alleged war criminal Vladimir Putin to U.S. soil in Alaska; usurping congressional powers with little GOP resistance; attacking renewable energy in favor of oil and coal; attacking the world economy with tariffs; bullying universities with a so-called “compact” that endangers students, faculty and academic freedom; weaponizing the Justice Department to indict those on his enemies list; attacking agriculture in the U.S. through the bailout of Argentina with regard to the sale of soybeans to China and the proposed doubling of importation of Brazilian beef; and blocking health subsidies and shutdown of the federal government.
Are these the actions of a man for the people or those of an unchained bully? Donald J. Trump is in full attack mode.
