LETTER: Preserve health care
The Democrats would vote to reopen the government if the subsidies to fund the Affordable Care Act (ACA) would be included in the budget.
Health care is a human right for all Americans. This is a way for Donald Trump to get rid of the ACA, as it’s part of the Obama administration legacy. Everyone should be calling their senators and representatives and demand the subsidies be included.
Don’t believe the lies saying the Democrats want to give illegal immigrants health care. The only health care they are entitled to is emergency care under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act passed by Congress and signed into law by President Ronald Reagan.
The economy is bad enough with high grocery costs. Let’s at least help the ones with health care who work every day to pay the salaries of our representatives and senators.
They’ve had many years to fix or improve the high cost of health care, so remember that next year when mid-term elections come around, and vote for leaders who work to help American families.
