LETTER: Do as I say, not as I do
Our president has condemned the glorification of the cold-blooded murder of Charlie Kirk and I whole-heartedly agree with his sentiment.
However, that same president shared on Truth Social, a week prior to the Charlie Kirk assassination, a video of a U.S. government drone obliterating a boat filled with 11 people he assures us were very bad people. And just a week after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, he shared another video on Truth Social of the U.S. government obliterating a boat filled with three people he also assures us were very bad people.
In either case, there was no war declared, nor were the occupants of the boats apparently doing anything to place anyone in immediate fear for their lives. We have nothing but his word to go off of that these people were indeed very bad and did, in fact, need immediate obliteration. And when those people he considered “very bad” got obliterated, he apparently believed it appropriate to triumphantly display videos of their obliteration on Truth Social.
Do as I say, not as I do.
