Letter: A chance to hear directly from a candidate

2 min read

Many of us who call Greene County home are troubled by the way many things are going here. We hear reports that our healthcare facilities may be closing, our prices are skyrocketing, utility bills are threatened for reasons beyond our control. Massive computer data centers are projected to increase our utility bills, but not provide significant jobs or income for the people who currently live in the county.

With an election coming up in November, many people want to hear directly from the candidates who are seeking to represent us. We all need to learn how they are proposing to help us deal with these issues that are so important. One significant opportunity is coming soon: On Wednesday, a town hall is scheduled at the Waynesburg VFW Post, located 445 East Lincoln Street, from 6 p.m. to 8 pm. It is open for all citizens to meet directly with Alan Bradstock, a candidate to represent Greene County in Congress.

Bradstock grew up in Donora, has served a proud military career protecting our country. He is greatly interested in hearing the concerns of Greene County citizens. It will be an important and useful opportunity for each of us who live and work in our area.
