President Biden is guilty of dereliction of duty

The United States is in the midst of a migration crisis. This crisis exists at many levels. It is a security crisis. It is a financial crisis. It is a law and order crisis. It is a humanitarian crisis. It is a health crisis. It is a political crisis. It is, at its core, a leadership crisis.

We are being invaded. As a result of Biden administration policies and neglect, 10 million migrants have crossed the southwest border into the United States and thousands more enter daily. Those are Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) numbers. The large majority of these migrants were released into the United States and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has no idea where they are. They have no record of their background, possible criminal history or health status. This is also fact as reported in testimony before Congress and in an Inspector General report from last September. In addition, there are an estimated 800,000 “gotaways” who evaded the U.S. Border Patrol.

Ten senior former FBI officials have issued a letter warning of a clear and present danger to the U.S. at our southern border, suggesting that we are being invaded by “military age” foreign nationals. This letter was sent to congressional leaders to “express our concern about a current, specific threat that may be one of the most pernicious ever to menace the United States.”

The letter notes that the United States has never before been invaded, but such an invasion is now occurring. The FBI agents wrote, “Military-aged men from across the globe, many from countries or regions not friendly to the United States, are landing in waves on our soil by the thousands – not by splashing ashore or parachuting from a plane but rather by foot across a border that has been accurately advertised around the world as largely unprotected with ready access granted.”

“It would be difficult to overstate the danger represented by the presence inside our borders of what is comparatively a multi-division army of young males from hostile nations and religions whose background, intent or allegiance is completely unknown.”

It continued, “Any violation of the nation’s immigration laws increases risks, but the surge in numbers of single, military-aged males descending upon American cities and towns is alarming and perilous.”

They also wrote, “Additionally, they are not just terror-linked regions, but from China and Russia, as well as hostile adversaries of the U.S. with aspirations to devastate national infrastructure.”

After receiving the letter, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson commented, “This letter from national security leaders is further confirmation of what we already knew: President Biden’s open border policies are increasing the risks of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. An unprecedented threat at this scale requires transformational policy changes immediately to secure the border and end the administration’s mass release of illegals into the country.”

In addition to the national security threat, the occurrence of crime and property damage by undocumented migrants is increasing exponentially. As these migrants congregate in liberal “sanctuary” cities, catch and release programs by local law enforcement or simply no law enforcement is promoting all manner of barbaric behavior. Most recently, we witnessed the mugging of a policeman in Times Square by a gang of migrants. Five were arrested and immediately released. In other cities, stores are closing because they have been robbed so many times by marauding gangs. Businesses are fleeing high crime cities. California is losing population. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has reported the re-appearance of diseases such as tuberculosis, malaria, cholera, typhoid fever and polio, once thought extinct in this country.

In Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott has said that his state has suffered enough from the flood of migrants. If the Biden administration will not enforce immigration laws, Texas will. Texas has placed concertina wire along the border at Eagle Pass and removed U.S. Border Patrol agents from one prime crossing area. The Texas National Guard and Texas law enforcement have taken over protecting their border. Texas has been joined by 14 other states to help do the job the federal government won’t do.

The actions of have, of course precipitated a significant reaction from the Biden administration, but Abbott is sticking to his wire. Biden has tried to blame the problem first on Republicans, then on Congress. He then said that if Congress would pass a multi-billion dollar immigration reform bill that would offer amnesty, create new U.S. Citizens and Democratic voters, he would close the border the next day. He could close the border right now by just undoing the executive orders he put in place when he took office that undid President Trump’s policies that were working. Plenty of laws exist today if Biden would just use them. But Biden would apparently rather play politics and blame Republicans.

The simple fact is that Biden is derelict in his duty.

The current border crisis is very definitely a direct result of Biden’s policies. One cannot conflate what may be happening elsewhere in the world with Biden’s dereliction of duty in enforcing the border security of our nation.

As we see daily, these undocumented migrants do not “yearn to be free”. They yearn to do damage to the U.S. If they truly wished to come here as immigrants, we would not see massive gangs, violence in our cities, and large numbers of single, military-aged males. We would not see 800,000 gotaways.

Biden’s policies simply hung out a big advertisement that said “come get your free stuff” at the expense of the American people. We, the American people, will certainly pay with our treasure; we are doing that now. We may also pay with our health, safety and security. That is not a conspiracy theory. It is happening.
