There really is something for everyone in Washington County. From history, to sports and recreation, gaming, shopping and festivals, Washington County is the perfect place to plan your next adventure.

The county’s tourism season kicks off this month with The Greater Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival at The Meadows Casino Racetrack Hotel over Memorial Day weekend. More than 50 of the region’s best food trucks will be in attendance, plus live music, craft beer and wine and local and regional artisans and vendors.

”The Greater Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival has been an important addition to Washington County’s tourism season since its inception. It provides us with not only a wonderful way to celebrate the culinary diversity of our area and our largest tourism attraction, The Meadows Casino, but also complements the county’s tourism offerings in May – such as Daniel Tiger Weekends at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, the annual opening of Meadowcroft Rockshelter and the National Road Festival,” Jeff Kotula, president of the Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency, said. “Washington County is a great place to spend your late spring and an even better place to ‘Share the Energy’ of our summer tourism season.”

The agency is sponsoring a special giveaway package this year that would enhance the winner’s experience at the Food Truck Festival. The Shop, Eat, Sleep & Repeat Contest features prizes and packages from Tanger Outlets, the Washington Wild Things, Bistecca and more.
