Softball: Canon-Mac blanks Waynesburg
Alayna Astuto and Kayla Kiger combined on a three-hit shutout as Canon-McMillan blanked visiting Waynesburg 3-0 in a non-section game Saturday.
Astuto was the starter, and Kiger earned a save while striking out five batters.
Olivia Lorusso, Ally Bellaire and Tara Fowler each went 2-for-3 to lead C-M (9-1) at the plate. Lorusso and Bellaire each had a double.
Waynesburg’s record fell to 6-8.
