W&J football schedule includes 6 road games
Four night games and four contests at Cameron Stadium highlight the 2013 Washington & Jefferson College football schedule.
With six road games – all in the season’s first eight weeks – the Presidents will do much traveling.
The Presidents face a tough first month as they open the season with three consecutive road games for the first time in school history, Sept. 7 at Wooster. The Presidents and Fighting Scots will meet for the first time since 1985.
W&J takes on St. John Fisher in Rochester, N.Y., the following week before starting Presidents’ Athletic Conference play with the first night game, Sept. 21 at Grove City.
W&J welcomes Thiel to Cameron Stadium for Homecoming and its first home game Sept. 28 (2 p.m.). It is the latest start to a home schedule for W&J since 1988.
October also features three road contests with games at PAC foes Bethany (Oct. 5), Westminster (Oct. 19) and Saint Vincent (Oct. 26). Sandwiched between matchups with the Bison and Titans, the Presidents will host perennial conference contender Thomas More Oct. 12. It will be the first of two home night games.
Following an open date to begin November, W&J closes out the regular season with a pair of home games, Nov. 9 against Geneva (7 p.m.) and the PAC Backyard Brawl against Waynesburg Nov. 16.
