Charleroi basketball player flown to hospital after game

1 min read

A Charleroi High School boys basketball player was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital Tuesday following a home game against Beth-Center.

Sources indicate senior guard Sheldon Linneman suffered an undisclosed medical condition in the locker room after the game and was flown from the school grounds. Charleroi Superintendent Brad Ferko confirmed that a student was taken by helicopter to a hospital but declined to discuss the specifics or the boy’s condition. He commended the district’s athletic trainer and first responders for their quick action. Linneman is a returning letterman.
