Gateway shuts out Things
SAUGET, Ill. – JaVaun West threw seven shutout innings and Gateway hit three home runs as the Grizzlies defeated the Washington Wild Things, 5-0, Wednesday night.
Landon Hernandez, Jet Butler and Michael Butler all homered for the Grizzlies, who improved to 27-13 with the victory.
Gary Lee took the loss for Washington (21-10), going five innings and allowing all five runs.
Washington managed just four hits against West and reliever Zac Treese.
Washington faces the Grizzlies in Gateway again today. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
