Woeful stretch continues

1 min read

FLORENCE, Ky. – Michael Oros allowed just one run in six innings as Florence topped Washington, 3-1, Saturday.

Jovan Rosa had an RBI double in the first inning for the Wild Things (23-27), but that would be all Oros would allow to cross the plate as he improved to 5-1 while lowering his ERA to 1.35.

The lead would be short-loved for the Wild Things as Florence (30-20) picked up a sacrifice fly in the first inning from Jeremy Hamilton, then took the lead in the bottom of the second on an RBI double by J.C. Figueroa.

Shawn Sanford took the loss for Washington, falling to 5-4.

The Wild Things have lost nine of their last 11 games.
