Waynesburg’s Rohanna ties for 38th
Rachel Rohanna of Waynesburg shot a final round 1-under-par 71 Sunday and finished at one over in the Northeast Delta Dental International on the Symetra Tour.
Rohanna shot rounds of 73, 73, 71 to finish 10 shots back of the winner P.K. Kongkraphan of Thailand, who won a playoff over Michelle Shin of the United States.
Kongkraphan closed with a 1-under 71 to match Shin at 9-under 207 at Beaver Meadow. Shin, a former Wake Forest player, finished with a 67.
“I didn’t make a putt,” said Kongkraphan, who had 29 putts in the final round. “I missed many tee shots, and the approaches weren’t that well but I made my wedge shots.”
Kongkraphan earned $15,000 to jump from 15th to third on the money list with $32,323. The final top 10 will earn 2014 LPGA Tour cards.
