One of the WPIAL’s leading scorers despite being only a sophomore, Weiss averaged 26.7 points per game to lead the area in scoring – among boys or girls. Her 640 points in 24 games give her 1,059 for her two-year career. Quick to the basket and comfortable using either hand, Weiss also excelled on defense; she averaged 7.3 rebounds, three assists and 5.7 steals per game while leading the Highlanders (20-4) to their first-ever PIAA playoff appearance and their first section title since 1991.
