Millersville women stop California in season opener

CALIFORNIA – Carly Gallagher led five Millersville players in double figures with 24 points and the Marauders pulled away down the stretch for a 91-76 victory over California in a season-opening game Saturday night between two top teams in the PSAC.

Millersville overcame 28 turnovers by shooting 52 percent from the field and making 29 of 41 free throws.

Miki Glenn led California with 15 points. Ashley Hines followed with 14 points and eight rebounds, Ryah Gadson had 14 points and Irinia Kukolj had 10.

Millersville led 41-37 at halftime.
