Robert Morris comes back, defeats Lafayette
EASTON (AP) – Karvel Anderson scored 16 of his 21 points in the game’s final 6:15 as Robert Morris came back to defeat Lafayette 90-81 Tuesday night.
Robert Morris (2-0) trailed by as many as 11 in the second half and was down 66-57 with nine minutes to play. But Robert Morris went on a 7-0 run to cut the score to 68-66 with 7:25 to play. Anderson then scored 16 of the Colonials’ final 24 points as Robert Morris pulled away.
Robert Morris shot 49.3 percent from the field and was 11 of 24 from beyond the 3-point arc. The Colonials have now won 18 of their last 22 games dating back to last season.
Bryce Scott led Lafayette (0-2) with 25 points while Dan Trist added 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
