Soccer: Playoff-bound Bentworth girls edge Ringgold
Bentworth finished its regular season with a 3-2 non-sectional win at Ringgold Wednesday night.
The Bearcats (7-5, 10-8), who are headed to the WPIAL Class AA playoffs that begin Saturday, received goals from Madison Jones, Matty Fowler and Ella Schanbrand. Jessica Klett left the game with 15 minutes remaining with a broken nose.
The Rams (4-8, 4-12-1) trailed 2-0 early in the first-half, but battled back with goals by Kelsey Kaufman and Jill Bartman.
Bentworth plays Avonworth in the first round of the playoffs Saturday (2 p.m.) at Peters Township.
