Baseball: Waynesburg beats Trinity with Hill’s complete performance

Aaron Hill pitched a complete game and drove in three runs Friday night to lead Waynesburg past Trinity, 5-3, in a Section 3-AAA game at Consol Energy Park.

Hill hit a two-run double in the first inning and John Coss added an RBI double for the Radiers (2-2, 4-4). Hill hit a RBI double in the fifth and struck out six to earn the win.

Trinity’s lone extra base hit came from Evan McDaniel, who hit a double, and Garrett Briant took the loss for the Hillers (0-3, 3-5).

• A 12-run fourth inning propelled Washington to a 14-4 six-inning victory over Fort Cherry in a Section 2-AA game.

Jordan Mooney went 3-for-3 with three runs and two RBI for the Prexies (5-1, 6-3). Jordan West went 3-for-4 with four RBI and Kurt Adkins hit a double.

Koltan Kobrys smacked a three-run home run for the Rangers (0-5, 0-6).
