Women’s lacrosse: Waynesburg defeats W&J for first time

Waynesburg University scored on each of its first six shots and defeated Washington & Jefferson 15-9 Monday night at Alexandre Stadium.

The win was the third of the season for Waynesburg (3-6), which is the most in a year for the Yellow Jackets. It also was Waynesburg’s first victory over a Presidents’ Athletic Conference opponent.

The Yellow Jackets never trailed after scoring the first seven goals and led 11-4 at halftime. Waynesburg’s Holly Bachman scored a game-high five goals and contributed an assist. Jess Rains scored four times.

Alex Dikos scored four goals for W&J and Ashley Bulger had three goals.
