Fort Cherry wins with miracle finish
CORAOPOLIS – Junior defensive end Brian Carnegie fell on a fumble in the end zone with 17 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give Fort Cherry an improbale 27-26 comeback win over OLSH in a Black Hills Conference high school football game Friday night.
OLSH (0-1, 0-1) had scored to take a 26-20 lead on Billy DePaul’s second touchdown reception from Joey Sabbs with 3:18 remaining in the fourth quarter.
The Rangers (1-0, 1-0) failed to get into the end zone on their ensuing possession, giving the ball back to OLSH. But when Sabbs attempted to take a knee at the 3, he lost the ball and Carnegie fell on it to tie the game.

Nick Cook had 101 yards rushing and two touchdowns on seven carries for the Rangers, while quarterback Anthony Panizza completed 6 of 16 passes for 108 yards and a score.
