1 min read

AKRON – Sarah Prezioso hit her first professional home run, a two-run shot in the top of the sixth inning, to lift the Pennsylvania Rebellion to a 3-2 victory Sunday at Akron.

Prezioso’s homer helped make a winner of Angel Bunner, who scattered six hits and struck out five for the Rebellion, who improved to 4-12 in their first season in the National Pro Fastpitch league. Tatum Edwards pitched a perfect seventh to earn her first save.

Courtney Liddle had a pair of hits for the Rebellion, while Jenn Salling provided a sacrifice fly to drive in the team’s other run.

Lannah Campbell suffered the loss in relief for Akron (8-10), allowing two runs in three innings.

The two teams meet again tonight in Akron for the third game of their four-game series. The Rebellion return home to Washington Saturday to host the USSSA Pride.
